Awards, honors, and recognitions have been bestowed upon Hosalkar
quite frequently over the last 20 plus years. Hosalkar’s hard work,
determination, and brilliance have been noticed by social, academic, and public
institutions all across the world. What follows is a look at just a few of
Hosalkar’s many recognitions and awards.
Recognition for Hosalkar’s hard work began when he obtained
distinctions in anatomy and biochemistry in the first M.B.B.S. examination at
the University of
Bombay. At the second
M.B.B.S., Hosalkar ranked third overall at the university and stood first in
the subject of “Forensic Medicine & Toxicology” and “Microbiology.”
Hosalkar continued to improve, and on the final M.B.B.S. exam he ranked first
in the university. In fact, Hosalkar set all time record marks for the University of Bombay.
Hosalkar’s record setting exam scores on
the final M.B.B.S. led to a number of different awards and recognitions from
top academic, public, and social organizations. These included the Pfizer
Medical Award and Pfizer Medallion in Medicine, the Johnson and Johnson Merit
Scholarship, the Dowager Lady Shantibai Sitaram Patkar Gold Medal, and the Dr.
Ganesh Madhav Kurulkar Prize.
Since finishing medical school, Hosalkar has received a long list of
awards and recognitions. Over the last few years, Hosalkar has received awards
from respected organizations such as the American Academy
of Orthopedic Surgeons, the Pediatric Orthopedic Society of North America, and
the Orthopedic Research and Education Foundation.
Hosalkar’s accolades are representative of his hard work,
determination, and desire to help others live improved lifestyles. It is likely
that the awards will keep piling up for Hosalkar.
